Supplier Alternate Handling Modeling

This page provides initial modeling for alternate handling of supplier services when the usual administrator is unavailable. Designation of an alternate does not by itself establish access rights or authority.

Alternate

A person or an organization designated to act for a service where needed.

A service may have multiple alternates, and the same alternate may be designated for multiple services.

Persons performing alternate handling within an organization may in future be individually identified.

	alternate_subject_identifier	IDX	Yes	Subject identifier of the person or organization identified as an alternate.
	alternate_name		Yes	Recorded name of the alternate.
	alternate_type		Yes	Recorded type of alternate, such as person or organization.
	alternate_from		Yes	UTC date-time from which the alternate record applies.
	alternate_to		No	UTC date-time until which the alternate record applied; empty means current.

Alternate Handling

An alternate designation may apply to one or more services under the same account.

The alternate handling record defines the alternate, order and applicable period.

Alternate Handling Services

This is the intermediate table between alternate designations and services.

A service table provides the basis for identifying the individual services to which alternate handling is assigned.
